last week we booked 2 flights with goldtrail. Manchester to Izmir for 360-for both of us. Not wanting to think I was robbed I keep checking the prices. Today -5 days before departure the price is 394 per person. So if you were hoping to get a last minute bargain...think again or you may be disappointed.

It's usually always cheaper to book well in advance, especially with scheduled airlines.
Holidays companies, only knock down prices last min if they have loads of seats available, with the weather as bad as it is in the UK, Holidays sales have gone thru the roof, so the last min bargain is pretty scarce |

the way airlines sell tickets has changed now. they have got onto the idea that many people wait till last minute to book so they often sell cheaper first and then keep the most expensive untill the last minute. we get about 20 people a day at the ticket desk at work wanting cheap flights and they often leave empty handed because they didnt realise just how expensive they are on the day and didnt bring enough! or pay the silly prices because they have to!
