Default Own Drinks at hotel....

Ive just found out that our AI package only includes drinks up until 10pm, and from past experience can guarantee that they will be extortionate after this price.

Im just wondering, if its a pool bar and you are outside im guessing they wouldnt take very kindly to you bringing your own drink would they?

can I assume that hotel rooms are fine?

id would imagine that they wouldnt let you take drinks in.

I know some hotels will check your bags when entering the hotel, even bottles of water are sometimes confiscated. (they usually have signs up stating this)

if you have taken alcohol into your room (ie from Duty free) they wont know about it, so cant stop you

I always go AI and we always have our own drinks in the room, usually in the fridge, and have never had a problem at all.

Ditto to Rhona, whenever I've been AI we always have drinks in our rooms and we just stick them in the mini bar.

I know in many Turkish hotels they have security on the door, but I've never had my bag searched.

10pm is rather early, it's usually 11 or 12..where are you staying Dan?

Whereabouts is this hotel? Ten o clock means you can go out and drink in Turkey not a little northern european enclave. I think I would rather remove my liver with a rusty tea spoon that go AI.

We are staying at the Grand Kurdoglu, 10 is quite early - every other hotel I know of its minimum 11pm.

AI Is brilliant - especially for the prices - it means you can spend the time you want at the hotel, drinking eating and because the price is so low you dont feel guilty if you want to go out and drink

Just drink outside the hotel after 10pm at one of the many cheap bars in town,
If you want to bring drinks into the hotel just make sure you hide them well in a bag and remove the emptys from your room so the staff are not aware.
Maybe even keep spare drink locked in your case.
Should you wave a bottle of vodka under the nose of the hotel manager however exspect trouble !
