Best BA can do is £80 each way from Gatwicck to Izmir. Just need to tweak your dates to get best deal. You will see most of the £80 is Tax

Excellent price i should have looked there, this year i booked one way flights and it was difficult to get home (we live in Bristol) there were no charter flights available we had to fly home with British airways and they were not cheap!
Thats why for next year i got on early to get a good price.

good plan Lisa. probably worth the extra few quid to fly with BA, and Izmir is closer than Bodrum

If this September has been anything to go by im getting worried about the cost of flights to Turkey.

Out of school holidays flights used to be dirt cheap in june and Sept etc.

Whether its the poor summer,i dont know but flights have been a horrendous price in Sept.

Most on here will probably have been in early on aegean flights for next year ,but their prices have now rocketed and i fear the worst for any late bookers.

Last year I got 4 flights in August for £600 with Sun Express from Stansted to Izmir but you cant book until after February 2008.

BA usually have a post Xmas sale and you can pick up Gatwick to Izmir for under £100, we went over twice for a long weekend in January & February last year.

Default first choice to izmir

the prices aren't great at the minute, but First choice are flying to Izmir next year. Prices are currently aroung 300, but probably worth watching for price drops..and a bit of competition never hurt anyone( T Cook)

I am also getting concerned about the cost of flying to Izmir or Bodrum...we have always paid roughly £280 for 2 adults being the most expensive...£101 for 2 adults being the cheapest we have ever had!!!...i have had a look to go back in October and the are £400+....its quite a worry to know that the flights are getting steeper and steeper as the years go on!! I wonder if Easy Jet/BMI Baby would ever consider flying there!!!!???
