I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to Melih at travel@kusadasihotels.biz for the wonderful service he provided to us in transferring us by taxi from Izmir airport and back again recently.
The service was absolutely 1st class and faultless and more than reasonably priced.

When not being able to speak the language it is very important to be able to rely on people.
In this case, both the drivers and Melih were professional, friendly and all you could ask for in a transfer/taxi service.

I would confidently and highly recommend Melih's Taxi/Transfer Service to anyone.

Joy, I am not even able to post yet because I am just gutted to be back home again and already back at work.
The transfer costs were quoted at 45 euros but I had omitted to tell Melih that we were not only well outside Kus but down a dirt track that is quite a pain to drive at the moment so when I told him this (after he had given me the price of 45e) he said he would not charge me any more.
A man of his word.
Not only that but, you know how you worry about whether the taxi would remember to collect you in the early hours of the morning. The taxi was booked for 5.30am but the driver arrived at 5.10 and had our bags in the taxi before we had quite realised he was there (In fact, I think we were both still half asleep on the journey to the airport!!)
On the outward journey our bags went astray. 1 stayed in Istanbul and the other was found in the International arrivals (as opposed to Domestic arrivals).
The driver drove us around the airport until we found our bag and Melih rang me on route to Kus to check we were ok.
It was a fantastic service and took all the worry out of that part of the holiday.


Carmella, our holiday was fantastic. Neither of us wanted to come home but now that we are here, we have our minds made up this time that we are moving permanently as soon as possible.
By the way, the lack of hassling in Kus was a dream this time. Hope it stays like that. Only the Mayflower tried hassling but walking around Kus was a different and much more enjoyable experience this time.
So all in all, a wonderful 3 weeks that will keep us going now until we manage to organise things here and hopefully the big move will be soon so keep your fingers and toes crossed!!

I couldn't speak highly enough about the 2 guys who drove us.

Oh Tilli, so pleased you have finally made the decision to move over to Kusadasi....i will keep everything crossed for you that the sale of your house goes ahead PDQ and you know where i am if you want any advise re the move.
