Hey Forumers,

Does anyone know where we can get any toys (or other dog stuff) for our pup?

We've tried Tamara's pet shop, Kipa, Tansas and Migros but the choice is not very good.

...Are there any other pet shops around?

Your best bet is to ask a friend who is going to England to buy some toys there and bring them back for you..... Try the breed clubs in the UK they are all on line they are very helpful. They will have toys suitable for your lovely pup.

Thanks guys! I have two dogs back at home so my mum said she'd send some toys and things over, but I wasn't sure if it would get here as I don't have much luck with the Turkish postal system..but I'll give it a try.

Off to Izmir tomorrow so will have a look there too. They really need a shop here like 'Petsmart' in the UK!

We found chewy bones and such like in Tansas and some pull toys in the pet shop in town and Kipa do have a few in there, or you could buy him another pup as a playmate !!! Not a good idea??? Ok.

I agree there's not much choice here so always bring lots of treats back from the UK to keep them going until my next trip lol. Yilmazlar yapi market also has some treats/toys.

While waiting for your mum to send toys for Arnie, why not become creative and make them yourself? I just googled : How to make dog toys , and was surprised at the number of links they offer...the toys are easy to make with basic materials and making something for your puppy feels like knitting for a baby(???)

There is a new pet shop open just around the corner from the little Tansas - they didn't have a bad selection.

There is also one on the first floor above the emlak opposite the Yucca.

There's another one in the side street just off the seafront end of Inonu Boulevard. If you walk down towards the seafront, with Anker Travel to your left and look across, the small street there is where the pet shop is. We get all Tigger's food there, I bought her a leapord skin look-alike dog harness and lead and the pet shop had some good toys too.

We now have a Staff in leopard skin! Mind boggling I know!!(LOL)
