Approximately 5km away from Çesme, are the beautiful beaches of Ilica.

Ilica (meaning hot springs in Turkish) is the most popular holiday resort of Cesme, due to the hot thermal waters that effervesce under the sea. This beautiful tourist spot boasts a white, sandy beach and turquoise blue waters.

During the summer it is crowded and filled with people having fun. The water along the coastline are shallow, making it ideal for families with children.

Along the long (approximately 1.5 km) golden sandy beach are a selection of restaurants, cafes and bars and the excellent facilities of the Altin Yunus and the Sheraton Hotel are not far away.

The thermal baths around Ilica are very popular, the best located on Sifne Bay.

In Ilica Bay, the colorful International Cakabey Optimist Yacht Race is held every July.
