Ahh the weather was so nice here today, we had to take Arnie to the vet which is across the water so we got up early and decided to go on a little tour of Izmir aswell.

First we headed to Bostanli to catch the ferry over to Güzelyalı..weren't sure if dogs were allowed on board, but luckily they were.



It was Arnie's first time on a boat, and he loved it..



After we'd been to the vet, we walked from Güzelyalı to Göztepe and then onto Küçükyal.

The scenery was lovely, with clear blue skies and the view of Konak far off in the distance...





Finally, after what seemed like forever, we arrived in Konak.



It was one of those days that makes you feel like Spring has arrived early. Street vendors were selling everything for simit to alarm clocks and people were sitting around on the grass basking up the sun...





Then of course Arnie tries to chase the pigeons, we got a lot of tut's because people were trying to feed them...



If you're ever in Konak/Kemeralti area - you have to visit Can kebab house - it is AMAZING and has the best doner's in Izmir, which of course we had to try - for research purposes, naturally...



It was all too much for someone, who had to have a wee lie down before catching the ferry...



After 6 hours of walking, we finally reach home verrrryyy tired...



But it's been such nice weather the past few days, long may it last.

Megan the ferry costs 1,25 lira...peanuts and way more fun than a taxi/dolmus!

God he is going to grow up and become a right (pigeon)terminator!

Who´s walking whom here? Really does inspire me to call up my DAD right this minute and scream WALKIES down the phone in a high pitched toff posh voice! Never mind that it´s pitch black and p''' cold right now!
