I really want to visit Ephesus during my vacation in Turkey; however, I would also like to see Istanbul and Izmir? Is Istanbul really far from Izmir, because it appears that way on a map? Furthermore, are there many other interesting historical sites surrounding Ephesus?

There r virgim mary's house not far from ephesus, the selcuk castel where alot of tourists also visit.
I perfere virgin mary's house it gave me the chills walking in there. U can light a candle and say a little prayer. Its really nice ![]() |

I f you visit Efes, be sure to take plenty of film with you its totally awesome. Especially when you think that at the time it was built, we in the UK were still livng in caves and the like. Enjoy!!!
