Thumbs up Dog & Cat carriers needed

We are trying to purchase some dog & cat cages to collect the stray animals for spay/neutering. Obviously we are trying to get the best deal. Can anyone give us information as to where to buy these at a reasonable cost.

We have found some at a good price but they are only the small cat ones - so no good as they only hold kittens - most of our moggies are rather big with long tails ! If they didn"t have tails there would be no Problem !!!

We also need any dog and cat carriers that are brought into the country
with imported pets. These are very handy for animals recovering after operations, medical problems, etc. as we try to keep the animals in the Clinic for at least 24 hours. Can anyone help - Please

There's a warehouse in Izmir that sells all kinds of animal stuff including cages, carriers, and food. I will try and get hold of the details for you Di.

As far as recovery cages go, it's probably cheaper to make them out of ply and wire, they are very strong, and they can be made to the sizes you require.

We had a travel cage like this made for Tigger when we flew her over - they wouldn't accept her on the flight in a plastic cage as they said she could spring the door open if she hurled herself against it! I'm sure Tony can draw up a simple plan for you and there are two nice carpenters in Davutlar..we'll see what we can do.

This is kind of you as I know you are very busy and are so good to the Koru Beni in all ways.
At the Clinic we can catch and operate on many more animals if we have these cages and by winter there should be less unwanted puppies and kittens.
Karen, we know you are aware of things, however, maybe here we can explain to the general public just what we do with the cages and wooden crates.
1) We need good sized cat cages to go out and collect stray cats to bring in to the Clinic for spaying/neutering.
2) The wooden crates (brought in to Turkey by pet owners) are used for the dogs and cats after their operations (recovery period).
3) We had large flat beds 10cm thick for the animals that are too ill to go in to a crate for recovery.
We keep the animals until they are fully recovered.
Thanks Karen,
haggis
