Hi Allan,
Whilst the Airports and Planes will sell you as much as you like and tell you it is ok, the limit to bring into the UK and Ireland is only 1 ltr of spirits and 200 cigs per person.....the rest is up to you.... Good Luck.... Lorna

I think I paid 12 euros (£9) for a carton of L&M, on the plane I got it for 10 euros (£7.80) It depends on the brand though, others are slightly more expensive.

Per packet in the resort they cost around 3.50 lira, which is cheap as chips.

Thats cheap! 200 cigs isnt much though. A few of the lads down the pub were asking me to bring some back for them and they will buy them off me, i supose i cant do that if 200 is my limit.

Allan - you can also buy duty free at the shops when you are picking up your luggage - you will see a row of them. Sometimes the shops in resort can be a bit 'hit and miss' (if you know what I mean) esp when it comes to the known UK brands so might be worth while to stock up on arrival.
