Hi! Is the market the best place to pick up some bargains? the last thing i'm interested in is shopping but the wife will want to go so im being ahead of the game and finding out before we go so i don't get dragged around the whole kusadasi trying to find shops for her! Cheers.

The shopping in Kusadasi is good, there's a wide variety of things on offer.

There are lots of tourist shops that sell souvenirs, jewelery, carpets and leather as well as markets, and shopping centers.

Haggling is a must. I usually start with a ridiculously high number and gradually work my way down until I feel like I'm getting a good deal.

*There are weekly markets that sell clothes/fruits/veg.

*Scala Nova Ege Port is where you'll find the classier shops. That's where the cruise ships tourists go, so the price is more expensive.

*There's a shopping outlet in Soke that houses shops such as Adidas, Nike, Adidas, Benetton and Levi's.

*There's also great shopping in Izmir, a city 85 km's away from Kusadasi, which is the best.

Just a wee tip, always try on, the size it says on the label and the actual size often have nothing in common!!
I have yet to buy a pair of those stunning fake designer shoes in Turkey, if I cut off two toes on each foot I just might get into them.

kustu i also love the shop ambar i always buy loads they have all their clothes colour coordinated its the only place ive ever seen that!

If you buy 5 tshirts for £10 at the market take each tshirt out the bag and try it on - r check that the stick on label which says M doesn't cover the true size - XXL.
