Default Kusadasi visitors guide

Hello, I am wondering if someone can help me with my questions. Can anybody on here please give me a guide to what Kusadasi in Turkey is like, we will be coming with a group of 6 people / 3 of which have a physical disability. How do they treat people with special needs, this will be out second time abroad and my husband suggested Turkey. We want to enjoy a peaceful holiday without getting to many awkward stares so somewhere quiet and away from a busy area would suit us better. Is Kusadasi wheelchair friendly? Do any of the hotels have wheelchair access? thank you for taking the time to read this, i look forward to your answers.

Hi Addison and welcome to the forum.

Quite a large number of hotels in and around town have wheelchair access, but I would suggest checking with individual ones before booking. The Grand Blue Sky springs to mind as one such hotel. And if your co-holidaymakers don't want to travel around too much, most of the larger hotels are fully inclusive, so you won't need to leave them apart from some shopping for gifts for those back home.

Wheelchair access around town is pretty good as the Belediye (council) have recently re-paved the main shopping/tourist areas. There will be some areas which will not be suitable for wheelchair access (some of the trips to local landmarks spring to mind). You need have no fears about the locals, or indeed anyone else staring etc as we're all used to seeing disabled persons around town (as well as some sights which provide more information than we really need). So worry not on that score.

Have a great holiday.
