Default How did you 'find' Turkey/kusadasi?

Having visited several countries over the years friends pointed us in the direction of Turkey. We went to marmaris and although we enjoyed it and found the people so friendly it was too british for us and we go on holiday to have a break from that so wont be returning there. This year we have booked kusadasi through yet another friends recommendations. They said turkey has a way of capturing you and once you find your perfect holiday resort, you will return many a time.
I never knew kusadasi had such a following of people that love it so much and seem to be experts on it, how did you 'find' kusadasi?

I booked a last min deal with a couple of friends, none of us had ever been to Turkey, but it came up the cheapest deal (with a decent accomodation) where the sun would be shining in early October.

We all really enjoyed Kusadasi, although i am the only 1 of my group to go back to Turkey.

I also found Marmaris to 'British' & came back to Kusadasi afterwards ..back to the Turkey that i fell in love with.

I went in 2004 with a group of friends, we found a good deal to Kusadasi so we booked it. We had such a great time and found the people so lovely we immediately fell in love with Turkey.

Returned for another holiday a few weeks later, this time to Bodrum, had a great time there too...but there was something about Kusadasi that was more special for me. Last year I got offered a job here, so accepted it and then stayed here permanently. The rest, as they say, is history.

Came here on holiday in 19** as the result of a gift from our eldest daughter to thank us for helping her after her divorce; we loved it and came back twice a year until we moved here a couple of years ago.

We came over 3 years ago as a last minute break, I had just lost my father and my husband felt I needed a good earned rest. Well we loved it but it wasn't until I saw myself on a photo that was taken during the holiday that I realised how happy I looked and relaxed. 8 weeks later we came back to live and 3 years on we are still here and settled, and love the life here. It suits us down to the ground so far. It is different and laid back way of life which we enjoy and the fact that so far Kusadasi it has not been too spoilt, it still has the charm of its history and culture.
