Sunbabe,
Prices have risen this year, but not by a huge amount!

Turkey is still a lot cheaper than some of the european tourist destinations (spain, greece etc)

thats gr8 thanks for replying. i was just getting a little worried that every one was saying it was expensive but then again they had been going for years so what is expensive to them could be real cheap to us. As long as it is not too bad. Has anyone been there recently to give me an idea on average drink prices etc..
Also do u know what good waterparks are around Gumbet and would there b any thing else u would reccomend us doing while we r there.
Cheers
Em

Prices seem to vary so much now according to the type of Bar or Restaurant.

One tip I can give you before sitting at a restaurant would be to view the menu first before commiting - check the prices and then accept the table.

Market Prices

Efes Beer 50cl 2YTL
Yeni Raki 70cl 25YTL
Wine 70cl 4-15YTL

Bar Prices
Efes Beer 50cl 2.5+YTL
Yeni Raki (Shot) 5+YTL
Wine (Glass) 5+YTL

Merv!

Anyone looking for cheap alcho when they are there can get a boat to Kos and pick up real cheap drink and it is only 20 euro to go...

The price of alcahol in Turkey is still a hell of a lot cheaper than in Ireland by far where the price of alcahol is ridiculous!

Its still a lot cheaper than Europe big time!

No the price of nearly all drink is definately cheaper when you work out the exchange rate, for example if a cocktail is 7million, thats still only about less than 4 euro!

Where can I drink a cocktail for 7 Ytl ? I always paid more... ! I need to find that place !

About the prices: I don't know alcohol prices in Ireland yet(I will next week as I will be one week in Belfast ) but prices of drinks in Belgium are about the same as in most café/bars in Kusadasi. But ofcourse the fun and atmosphere in Kusadasi is much better than in Belgium !
