Hi All,
We have bought a villa in Kusadasi and it is furnished (to a degree)
We are coming out for a week on 16/07 and need to know where all the best places are to buy remaining things like mirrors, mops, brushes, paint, etc

Hope you can help...maybe even meet some of you locals then too.

Try the hardware shops in Kusadasi there are a few on the road to the cemetery which are good value also there are a few on the road from the centrum to Migros

cheers, but believe it or not, I have never been to Kusadasi yet lol.
My wife went out and chose the villa which we got 50/50 with her folks.
So i must invest in a map.

There is a fantastic mirror shop at the top of Davutlar high street ,they are absolutlely beautifully framed and a bargain price.

I did it the other way round, I went out and brought my villa on my own and last week was the first time the wife had seen it, thankfully she loved it.

I had the same to do at my place, I brought most of the furniture of the previous owner, but had to buy all the bits and pieces, I know this sounds tight but there is a permanent little market if you walk back a little from where the dolmus drops you of at the Centrum,there is a little shop thats does everything for 1 million (40p) give it try before you go anywhere else.

i never relized how much i am a jealous person till i started this forum but all u buying villas out there make me jealous, i think i sound swap my career for one with better money then i could do it as well.

You will see places called "yapi" markets. this means builders. You can get mops, brushes and a lot of silly things that you never knew you needed when setting up house from the supermarkets. Migros seems better than Tansas. There is a specialist mirror shop near the arcelik shop.
