Ive heard that Selcuk market is really nice! Definately worth a visit. I think it's on a Saturday, and you can get their via Dolmus as Umit said.
Have fun, and shop till you drop. ![]() |

Hi Jannami, the best way to get to selcuk is by dolmus. The market is okay, but i think the market in söke is much better. but if u have a chance, enjoy a trip to izmir. (maybe by bus.)
have fun in kus. maybe i will meet you, bcs i am there at 18th july. greetings |

Selçuk is a very nice and quiet village... I'm not especially fond of shoppings, though I suppose it's worth a visit... I spent several evenings there!!
My personal recommendation is gastronomic instead: Check for Mr. Mustafa's Hotel Paris in Selçuk and you'll have a very quiet and special dinner (a better place for dinner than for lunch)... (er, well, I don't know if this is the right thread... but talking about Selçuk anyway...). ![]() |

I have been to the Market there many times. You can buy literally ANYTHING there. Plenty of mad underwear everywhere you look, like nothing you have seen before-VERY old fashioned! Lots of good souveniers and keyrings and stuff but also huge amount of household things, pots, pans, cups, plates etc. I think its more aimed at the villagers to do their shopping in. Anytime I was there I certainly was the only foreign person rummaging around. As for shoes and things, well I always get nice, cheap sandal/flip flop things and little t-shirts and some handbags, but that is as far as it goes. Wouldnt be high up in the fashion stakes if you catch my drift! It is for sure worth a visit though ![]() |
