Default Help needed again!!

Hi
I was supposed to travel out to kus in june to do the final inspection on my new pad. I had to cancel due to house being behind and then I ended up in hospital for a while. I now need to go at the end of july and am finding it v-hard to get a flight. I will get a connection from dublin to most airports in the UK easily and cheaply enough has anyone any ideas from there. The problem is due to the time I had to take off I really need to fly out for a most 3 days.eg out friday back sunday!!
Thanks
Tony

Hi Tony,

if you can only do a short trip, your only choice are with the scheduled airlines, like Turkish airlines, Lufthansa etc.

All the charter flights (holiday companies) are for 7 or 14 days.

whats dates are you looking at? ..i can do a quick scan at work for you & see what is coming up cheapest!

Tony, I fly from Dub to Izmir with Sunways every few months but they are Sunday to Sunday. You are gonna have big trouble trying to get there for a few days. Believe me, I have tryed gettting there for Bank Hol weekends etc and its is virtually impossible unless you spend two of the days travelling.

Let me know if you have any luck though, I would be very interested if you find anything

Hi Tony I think you'll find the only option will be scheduled flights. In my experience Lufthansa usually work out the cheapest. Don't try and book direct with Lufthansa though. We've Thomas Cook the cheapest company. Just go to Thomascook.com and you can book online. Believe me we've spent hours searching loads of sites and they seem to be cheaper than the rest. If you want to compare prices check out Skyscanner and Skyjet (not sure if they're .com or .net) Hope this helps m8.

Hi Tony

While I was buying my place and I had to pop out there for a few days at a time when it was out of season, I used expedia each time and got some good deals, good luck, as claire said state the dates your looking for and I will have a look around for you.

Hi Tony

Just got a shock at some of the prices for a short break at the moment, best I could come up with is 29/7/05 to 31/7/05 from Heathrow to Izmir £200 + £38 tax, this is on dial a flight, let me know if you want anymore details

Thanks to all for the replies.

The dates that would be best are 29th july to 1st august, but a week later could work also. I have accepted I'll probably spend 2 of the days travelling but what can you do. I have checked with Cyprus Turkish Airlines and they have nothing available. Again thanks.

Tony

Tony,

ive had a quick search thru .... BOY have you picked an expensive time to travel!!!

Alot of the flights are full .. Turkish airlines to Istanbul is full on every flight, as well as Lufthansa.

the only availability i could find was BA to IST, connecting to ADB(Izmir) but prices are over £500!!!!!
(im looking direct with the airlines, so you may find cheaper with companies like expedia etc)

i checked the following weekend & its just as busy!!

Thanks Claire
I've had to adjust my thinking and booked flights going out the 24th back on the 26th. Thanks for spending the time looking. The next thing I need is a reasonable hotel for 2 nights in ladies beach any suggestions.
Tony

Hi Tony, Did you try Thomascook.com?
Just booked with them for December, got seven days on scheduled flight for 217. Loads cheaper than anywhere else.
