Default Procedure and problems when buying.

Hi
Can anyone help me with some questions I have re property purchase.
Some months back that law re foreginers not being allowed buy certain types of property was passed in turkey.
I'm now hearing that law is to be replaced in October with another version.
Is the current law a problem for completing deed transfer or not?? I'm getting mixed signals from my solicitor.
Also has anyone had a problem with a developer not doing the paperwork for subdividing a co-operative into the individual parcels so that the individual parcels can be registered in the individual owners names.

I'm going over sunday to sort out things and know I will be told everything is not a problem as usual but would like some independant advice. I feel my solicitor is more on the builders side in every discussion than mine.

Tony

Hello Tony,

Maybe these sites are of any help?

It is also possible to contact the Turkish embassy in your country and have them send the information. Might cost a bit, but that should be worth it when you bought your house abroad

Thanks for that. Claire thats what I heard but my solictor now is explaining the delay in my paperwork to the need for the law to change before it can be completed but I think its a bum steer. I had actually found one of those links just browsing they give details just not the nitty gritty detail I'm now into.
