Default Shopping!!!

Hi,
I am off to kus in 12 days time (and counting) , we are staying at aqua fantasy with 2 young children, where would any of you recommend the best place to go bargain hunting, i'm a shopoholic but husband and kids will get totally bored, so want somewhere not to far from hotel if possible and is it best to catch a taxi?

Hi Jules,

what kinda thing are you looking to buy??

The bazaar in the centrum is probably the best place to get gifts, clothes, designer handbags etc..

The markets also a good place to go bargain hunting!

Lucky you *sniff* my favorite hotel ever ever ever! I'm soooooo jealous

''Not too far from hotel'' hmm well Aqua Fantasy is a little bit out of the way of the center of Kus..about 10 minutes or so, you can catch a taxi as they have their own taxi rank at the enterance to the waterpark/hotel..but your best bet would be to catch a Dolmus hun, it's cheaper...They stop on the main road outside the hotel every 7 minutes or so!

Have a fantastic time!!!!

Mella xxxx

Yeah the markets are in Kus hun..there's one on a Wednesday with clothes ect. and the Friday Market (which used to be clothes) is now food.

Hmm, hun..I'm not sure - I suppose if I'm totally honest, i'd be a bit dubious about going on a dolmus, too. Although I think the security has been stepped up quite a bit, and now a bomb has already happened it's a little less likely to happen again...but do whatever you feel safer with. It's not THAT much more expensive with a taxi as it's only down the road...

I'd probably just still take the Dolmus though..I'd think if Turkish people are then why shouldn't I. S'up to you though xxx

yes Jules there are markets in Kus, i think wednesday is the clothes market.

you will find lots of designer copies, jeans, t shirts, trainers, bags etc.

As far as taking the dolmus, if you are not comfortable doing so, taxi's are readily available .. and dont cost to much!

Thanks to you both for your help, i think we'll just see when we get there, as to wether we get a taxi or dolmus.
2 weeks tomorrow and i'll be shopping at the market then!!
The bazaar in the centrum you mentioned, is this like a shopping centre that's open all the time? Sorry if that's a really dumb question.
I'll struggle getting all my clothes and shoes in on the way, god knows how i'll get it all home.

the Bazaar is similar to a shopping centre, its like a big maze of shops!

just be careful with your luggage allowance .. the airlines are hot on it this year & are charging around £8 a kilo.
