he was welsh! brought to ireland and sold into salvery! we know his back ground! thaught it in school! he escaped from slavery and returned home but then came back to spread christianity through out ireland! (including getting rid of all the snakes)

Holy S**t Podge! Where do you get your knowledge?! And WHAT school did you go to? Maybe I was taught that too, maybe all the raki over the years have killed off many brain cells and that info in my brain has got lost.....

was just really interested in irish history as a kid, loved the myths and as i got older was very interested in fact! cant remember much other things from primary! i went to a country school, 8 of us in my class! you would have got taught about st patrick when you were about 6-8 in school, hardly know anyone who doesnt know the story!
