Lightbulb American and British References
It's funny how American and British people use different references for the same things.

I listed a few which I picked up off TV, but I'm sure there are a lot more. People, can you help me out here?

British .........American

Lift-------------- Elevator

Loo--------------Restroom (toilet)

Water closet-------bathroom/toliet/restroom

Put on the Kettle------Brew some coffee/tea

Pub--------------- Bar

Post--------------- Mail

box your ears------- slap you upside the head

daft----------------- stupid

crisps---------------- ?? Are these potato chips?

Chips-----------------French fries

biscuits---------------cookies

knickers-------------- underwear/panties

trolley---------------- cart

chemist - drugstore

Dressing Gown - Robe

Swimming costume / Cozzy - Bathing Suit

fortnight - two weeks

Trousers - Pants
