Exclamation UNIVERSIADEIZMIR in 11-21 august
There will be an organisation which is named "UNIVERSIADEIZMIR" in izmir in 11-21 august.It's the the name that is mixed by "University" and "Olympiade". As you see it's the olympiades of university students.14 kinds of sports activities will be held.I will work as a volunteer.I will be at "info desk". Maybe some of you be there and i help you

Thanks for post such Useful information Ares!!

If any of the members wish to visit this event, do they need to book tickets in advance? or can they be purchased on the day??

Wish i was in Izmir during the UNIVERSIADEIZMIR, it looks like it will be a good event & very enjoyable to watch!!

I am sure you will have a lot of fun working there!

Yes!
thats why i work as a volunteer.I like comminicating with the people who come from other coutries.Meeting new cultures and practicing english 14 kinds of sports will be played.Also opening and closing ceremonies will be amazing acording to me.If there is anyone wants more information about this organisation i can help in here

Now i also practicing in Telekom
a few weeks ago we connect a telephone lines and G.SHDSL for them
This organisation is really wonderful
But i heart that there could be explotion by the terrorist so there will a security at every corner..!

I think what Are meanes is that beacuse of the large number of people at the event, securit has been stepped up (standard practice)

It is mentioned on the FCO (foreign office) website that these events are happening & as with every event, people must be aware & more vigalent!

dont forget to watch the opening ceremonies of the Universiade 2005 izmir on thursday evening on TRT !!!
