Question Trying to learn turkish, any help out there!?!

Hi, my boyfriend n myself have set our hearts on moving to Turkey. He's been 9 times, I've only been twice, but fell in love with the place as soon as I landed!
We're hoping to buy a property n move out there in the next 8-9 months.
I came up with the bright idea that I would learn Turkish! I've downloaded reams of stuff off the internet n bought 7 books n 4 CD's!
It's going "tamam", but I could really do with someone to practice my pronunciation and listening skills with.
If there's anyone out there also studying Turkish let me know, n we could maybe hook up on MSN or something to practice.
Also if there are any Turks out there trying to learn English, that would be great, as we could help each other.

Lütfen, İyi geceler

I'm ashamed to say it's Marmaris that I've fell in love with! My partner has been to Kusadasi 7 times n Marmaris 2. I've only ever been to Marmaris, but I have never been to a friendlier place in my life. I feel awful asking these questions in your forum, but the only Marmaris forum I found had only had about 6 posts in the last year!!
Thanx for the links though, I'll definately have a look, believe me I need all the help I can get!

Teşekkürler
Lısa

Phoebe, you must have your keyboard set up for Turkish letters.
(on the bottom of your screen it will say EN for english or TR for Turkish .. you can toggle between the two, so that you can still get english ,. etc)

your keyboard is the same, except the "i" key changes to 'ı'. Its the [ ] ; ' , . keys that give my extra Turkish characters ğ ü ş i ö ç when you toggle to the TR keyboard.

Mella,
the EN will be at the bottom right hand corner (will all your other icons) but it is only there is you have the other languages installed on your PC (you can add turkish by going into the language settings in the control panal)

when you ahve it installed you Press the Left ALT Key and Shift (together) Depress the Alt key hold down and then the Shift key.

This should switch you between UK Keyboard and Turkce Keyboard.
Or
you can click on the EN and then you will have the options to click on TR
