Shocking case Tony. I believe that the system has been changed so that defence council cannot discredit the evidence of such vulnerable people. In the past is has been easy for defence to tear the only primary evidence apart and successful prosecutions were unlikely. This had to change otherwise as the law stood it said it was OK to abuse those who have learning difficulties.

Paedophile networks are extremely difficult to crack. Why? Because their membership often consists of people in high places...judges, high ranking policemen, politicians, and other influential people. Victims are afraid to talk because of what may happen to them, their families or friends, or even the professionals they may eventually decide to disclose to.

I speak from previous professional experience, and this is such an emotive subject for me that this is as much as I'm prepared to say here. But things have changed...albeit slowly...since I worked in this field, in that victims are now speaking out much more than they once did. How you expose the perpetrators, who have influential people on their side, I despair, because I haven't a clue how this can be achieved.

this one very do-able. this is on the verge of becoming a very real situation where by the people at the top will be exposed of what they have been up to for a very long time...

i can tell you this is just the tip of the ice berg of whats going on, trust me it gets a lot worse

What an appalling story! I believe we have similar rings in Ireland here, with high level people also involved. It is commom knowledge in one town in the border area, that a paedophile ring exists but that nothing is done because high officials of church and state are involved.

Apparently the catholic church have huge law suits against them in america from victims who suffered abuse from priests-hope this little girl finally gets justice and these b\\\\\\\s are disgraced and ruined and given long prison sentences--the whole system is rotten to the core. kib

Another prime example of how the media is manipulated by those in power.
