What do you look for in a bar/club?

First thing : the music. Despite of my eclectic tastes, I wouldnt be able to stay in a club where i hear the same type of music during 3 or 4 hours (especially Techno, or Bad rock which can break my ears!)

Second think : the atmosphere. A busy bar is not always better than another one which is more empty. If the costumers, and the staff are cool, have fun and show it, it may change all!

If the music and atmoshere is bad then you don't wanna waste time or money there.

Its a good thing everyone seems to love at least 1-2 places on bar st

Yeah, atmos is very important!
I don´t like smart ass venues or those that are filled with people who are oh so hip, trendy what ever!
Posers! yuckee ducky! Complete boring a**holes!

I like a personal touch (just don´t touch my person)
a bit of excentricity and where I can let things just hang out (ooooh )! Ya know wot I mean innit!

Also I hate places where you sense or you can see they are only interested in fleecing you.

Yeah basically what everyone else said...

It's all about the music and the atmosphere. But if I'm with my crazy friends we can basically make fun anywhere. Normally I go for the Urban clubs..I absolutely love my Rap, Hip Hop & R'n'B and generally just like the crowd that attracts. Fyne Homeboys

a bar is some where you go to talk with friends, i hate bars that the music is so high that you have to shout to be heard! a bar should be comfortable, good bar staff are a must, friendly etc. good back ground music, depicting a laid back mood!
a club well the most important thing is the music and lighting! as has been said atmosphere is very important!

yeah the music and lighting has to be good, also the staff,you can go into the best ,biggest bar in the world, but if the staff are unfriendly or not welcoming and boring your not going to stay there.
