Question What goods can we bring into Turkey?

Hi, we've just got back from a trip to Kusadasi where we've started the process of buying a villa on Long Beach. We're hoping to move out there to live permanently next June - so excited I think we're going to burst. Just wanted to find out exactly what we can take into the country, we won't be bringing furniture or electrical goods, just personal effects, sports equipment, cds, crockery, clothes etc. I saw the thread about customs regulations by Merlin, is this the definitive list of what you can take in on entry?

Hi Goodies,
the list that Merlin posted is what the Turkish government have produced, so basically, yes ..that is what you are legally allowed to bring in on each trip!

If you have a lot of goods, it may be worth looking into shipping the goods in thru a international shipping company! (or just taking small amounts with you each time you visit)

Thanks Claire we're going to use a shipping company for the bulk of goods, hopefully they can supply exact details of what we can take, I'll use Merlins thread as a guide for now. Cheers Chris
