Hi Joyce

Sorry I can't help you but I am curious why you need these things, have you brought a place in the middle of nowhere, or are these things just for emergency?.

If you can send more details on what you are looking for I can ask my agent out there for some prices, but in all honesty you are better of buying them yourself when next out there, when you can see exactly what your getting for your money.

Hi, thanks for reply, we cannot get water and electric connected even though they are there, as the living permit( oturma) has lapsed on the house and we have been told it is impossible to renew????.
Seems mad i know but this is the situation we find ourselves in.

Hi Joyce

Ive been talking to my husband about your messages on the forum and he has told me that an Oturma/Iskan does not expire. What has probably expired is the Insaat Ruhsat (building permit) which means that your complex is still been shown at the Belediye as a building site. Meaning the builders/owner has not declared this complex finished; and without them doing this you cannot get your Oturma.
Does anyone on your complex have electric or water? Or is everyone in the same boat as you?

Alison

Default oturma iznil

Hi Ally,
well like i have said the house was built 6-7 yrs ago, the builder has issued the permit and you have five years to take this up, because the house was bought buy a turk for investment he did not live in it and has not taken up the permit so it has lapsed.
As the site was once a cooperative all 100 house have to reapply together which seems mad as most will have the permit and the other turks dont want it.
This as we understand it, i hope it makes sense to you, what we carnt understand is wahy we carnt apply in our own right as new owners and pay to get the permit.
The site has now been taken over by the belediye so each individual house will be responsable for there own electric and water.
At the moment there is a private electric supply, but the site wishes to change to the mains electric tedaz i think its called and then without the permit we wont have electric .
It just seems insolveable we go round in circles.
thanks for your interest Ally if you can throw any light at the end of the tunnel we would be very grateful, but we have given up hope of resolving it.
PS we are going out there tommorow, im dreading seeing the house all done up and we carnt live in it.

Hi Joyce

I have just received this reply back from my agent, sorry but it does not help you much, but I thought you might like to see it because it is always interesting trying to interpret what she is saying:-

Tapu is different , Oturma is different. After tapu , all house owner must go goverment and must work with goverment ( paper work ) this is takes long time to get paper work and also they must spend money to get oTURMA .
All house owner spending money to get this Oturma paper nearly 3000 Euro . YES SHE İS RİGHT because Withouth Oturma paper , goverment can'T give elektrik their name. She must have a first'' Oturma İzni '' after that she must go Elektrik ofices with her Oturma izni Paper. And she can have elektrik her name. But Elektrik ofices olso will ask her money again to put her name elektrik aswell.
to get oturma izni is not easy .( to many papert to do it this is very Stress to do it ) she can't do her selşf definite she needs some one to do it her business .

Anyway I have done your Oturma İzni already long time ago . And I didn't ask you any money about it. I make myself for you. And I pay myself your oturma izni . And After that I put your name your house elektrik.
You know yourself you have your name elektrik already. And you don't have any stress now.

Sorry Joyce as I said it only confirms what you already know, good luck and I hope you get it sorted.

Brian

thanks brian, it does confirm what we already know that it is long and complicated, but at least it confirms that what we know is right,
anyone out there who knows a easier route please post.
thanks Joyce

we are in the same boat as you but we have a water tank but it is only 10,000 litres and when the water man comes he comes with 25,000 litres which means 15,000is wasted and that still has to be paid for so i would advise getting a 25,000 litre tank, they were £2,500 three years ago and were from a firm in izmir at the momeny water costs £40 for 25,000 litres.as far as the electric is concerned we are in the process of trying to get tedas eletric it is costly as it involves lots of "back handers" so we have been told and has been going on for 4 years but we do still have the electric on builders supply, but that is for the whole site and only our house pays the bill as no one elese goes it may be more complicated if other people start going.good luck anyway
