You're welcome Abi
Turkish weddings are great fun and i have to say i really enjoyed the Turkish dancing, it was so much fun! I have the wedding on CD, wish i could show ye and ye could see the Turkish dancing! Sami's sisters took pictures of the Henna night, so i have to get them from then but it must have been good becasue all the old people said it was the best Hena night they had been too! I wore the traditional Henna costume too and brought it home with me, its cool!!! Oh and they guy who married us, he is a government MP, he never does weddings cos hes always too busy, but he did ours cos Sami's Dad is friends with him. I dont know until after the wedding and everyone was cheering when he was leaving, i thought they were cheering for me and Sami ha ha, but no, they were chanting something for him!! He was very nice, nd very very handsome for an older man! People said it was the best wedding they had been too, which is good, we had fireworks and everything, it was cool. I cant remember half of it though! And i didnt even drink any alcahol! Out of respet for Sami's family (i dont drink much anyway)! It was great fun, i got the cd of all the Turkish music, Halay, Meldeke etc form the Henna night and the wedding and im goin mad trying to teach myself belly dancing in my room since i came home ha ha I can do all the Turkish dances that they were doing at the wedding, except the really weird ones... |

Wowowow, Shannon!...Ha ha I got so excited when I saw you'd finally put them up.
... I really really enjoyed looking at your pictures. You and Sami look so amazingly gorgeous! You're dress is like something out of Disney, so delicate, beautiful and princess-like! Really, you're both positivly gleaming and grinning from ear to ear. They say your wedding day is meant to be one of the best days of your life, and it certainly looks like it was for you guys! The hotel looks beautiful aswell, you're so lucky to have found such a wonderful place to hold your wedding. Thanks so much for sharing your great pix with us! They are definately going to bring smiles to your face when you & Sami are an old married couple sitting in your rocking chairs and you look back on them. Ahh, just brilliant!Hope you guys are as happy as you look in those photo's, for the rest of your lives together. ![]() |

Thanks a mill Claire hon, and all i can say about the Henna pictures is that they should be very interesting ha ha, i didnt have a clue what was goin on! There was 50 women and girls there and the only ones i knew were Sami's sisters and my friends! My whole head and face was covered for half of it, it was fun! Il have to write ye a little report on it! If ya marry your Turkish man in the future Claire i recommend you do the henna night, its a beautiful tradition! |
