Default Flights at Christmas?

Hi all....Just trying to book a flight for Christmas but cant seem to find much.

All I can find are flights from London that stop in Munich, Spain, New York, Oz, Istanbul and finally after going halfway around the world land in Izmir..... all for a crisp €2000!

Anyone got any bright ideas?!

I know there isnt a lot of availability left for around xmas & new year.

Put some dates up & i'll have a look on my system at work & see what comes up!

Ah Claire! I knew I could count on you!

Around 23rd Dec for a week or ten days? And I can fly from anywhere in the UK cos will have to fly out from here anyway. Just want to avoid Istanbul if at all possible!

Its so expensive because there are no seats on the flights!

if you want to avoid istanbul, you have to travel with Lufthnsa via Munich. the flight from Munich to izmir, only has business class seats available.

Turkish airlines have flights from Heathrow (But via Istanbul) for about £650!!!!!!

Hon try KLM and Malev Hungarian Airlines from Dublin to Istanbul. Their prices are quite reasonable. Last xmas i got Dublin to Istanbul with KLM for 250 euro!

Omni Travel have a deal to kusadasi for christmas staying in Palmin Hotel. They are also selling flights to Izmir but they're nearly the same price as the holiday - about €750-€800. Only they are from Dublin. If its any good you can see the hotel on Sunworld site (its in their summer brochure) and the offer should be on Omni's own site or on Aertel page 537.

i just had a look at the KLM flights, from Dublin into Istanbul, your looking about €450 with a change in Amsterdam, (then you can connect onto Izmir with Turkish or Onur airlines for about €80 each way)

Would be a REALLY long day!!!

but a lot cheaper than any of the other routes!

Ring Cyprus Turkish Airlines at their office in London (get their number from directory enquiries). Their web address is http://www.kthy.net but you cannot book online from the UK just yet.
They fly from Heathrow and Stansted 3 times a week DIRECT to Izmir and it costs around £260 return.
