Hey Lofty, Long time no see chicken Licken!!

I heard that you have to be in partnership with someone of a Turkish nationality. I can't remember who told me that! But I reckon a great person to ask these questions to would be our member 'Ally'. She owns 'The Garage' bar on Bar Street, so may be able to help you and answer any questions you have. xxx

Hi Lofty
I would love to be able to point you in the right direction but unfortunately I dont know the law regarding a foreigner setting up business in Turkey.
I had no dealings with the set-up of the bar as my hubby took care of all that, so I wouldnt want to tell you one thing and the truth be the complete opposite.
As Umit says its better to find out everything from the Belediye, then you know where you stand.
Things might be a bit stricter for a foreigner wanting to set up a bar as I know its hard enough for a turk to get an alcohol licence.

Good luck
Alison

Cheers everyone, i think the guy who's planning on doing it is getting in touch with someone that knows more about it so hopefully it will be all sorted! Thanks though!
