Aydin is nice city and it is a modern city. i dont think his family argue with him about you.

we Turkish people think that China is very big country and we dont think Chinese people are bad. And i dont think his family have prejudice about Chinese people.

Really? But This time their family visit China, and we meet each other. There's big problem is we can not communicate with each other. They only speak Turkish, and I can't speak Turkish. What can I do ?

By the way, do you guys think my boyfriend is mean?
Any thoughts and recommendation?

But when they are together, even I don't have chance to talk with them. I feel lonely. Of course he will be the translator, but I just feel distance between I and their family.

I hope so. Thanks Umit. I just feel to be engaged with Turkish guy is really difficult sometimes. They are really nice, but sometimes they don't want to tell you exactly what they think.

If his parents are biased against you hon its not because you are chinese, it would be more likely because you are not a turkish muslim if its that at all!

I dont know what to say about your boyfriend being mean. I mean for Turkey i hubby earns very good monry, but i earn more in Ireland cos its a richer country. I always pay for my flight but the hubby always pays for everything when i get there, from buses to cigarettes to food, everything. And that adds uo to a lot in 3 weeks or more, more than the flight ticket. So its a fair deal! And i dont ask him to do it, he insists and wont let me pay!

Hi Shannon, you are right. Maybe I think too much and really care our relationship. It's not good to talk about money between lovers.

I hope I and my bf visit Turkey next year together.

Sometimes you need to talk about money! especially in SOME CASES. If it bothers you, you should DEFINATELY talk about this. I had a fella once who paid for everything, or so I thought, he was scaming cash from my Visa Card without my knowledge. Im still paying for it today and that was 5 yrs ago.

So girl, TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS, and be sensible, hope you work it out.
