Sharon .. a tip for you to help with plurals (ie making more than 1 item)

its all to do with vowel harmony (the sounds)

if the last vowel in the main word is said from the back of your mouth (a, o u,ı ) you add - lar to the word

bardak .. glass
bardakalar .. glasses

if the vowels are said in the front of your mouth (e, i, ü, ö) you add - ler

kedi .. cat
kediler .. cats
