Try Turkish Airlines, Cyprus turkish Airlines & Lufthansa. It's pretty late to book now though so there isn't a huge amount of availability left, that's why the prices are so high. & you might not be able to fly directly there.

www.thy.com
http://www.lufthansa.com/online/portal/LH_COM

Cyprus Turkish airlines also have a website www.kthy.net (am I the only one that thinks it's a terrible website tho..) but they have a telephone number on there u can ring.

However claire is the flight guru - so she'll probably be able to help you more.

Agree the Kthy web site is rubbish but you can see the times they fly and the days if you hunt around a bit, flown with this airline and the flights and times are good direct to Izmir just booked with them again for Feb priced up at 230.00 pounds not bad for direct no messing in Istanbul or Munich,

Mella & Dean are right .. Cyprus Turkish airlines are your best bet (well .. only option) for a direct flight into Izmir.

You can forget about Bodrum, as it virtually closes during the winter & its very difficult to get flights in, with only a few flights a day in from Istanbul.

Availability for new year & Christmas is awful ... you are looking £300 + for a flight

Dalaman is just as expensive, & samos is VERY difficult to get to out of season (connecting flights from Athens) which will cost you a lot more than going direct into Turkey.

Sarah we're flying with lufthansa, but its not a direct flight. We fly manchester to Munich then Munich to Izmir, vise versa coming home. I paid 330 pound for my flight, but last time i had looked they had doubled.

Keep checking though coz the day before i got my ticket it was over 700 pound, then we looked that day and got it for 330, never got the credit card out quicker in ours lives hehe!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya hon
