Default House Insurance

Hi all

Has anyone got any idea how much house insurance costs and can you recommend any insurance companies.

Look forward to hearing from anyone that can help.
Maca

The best way is to go to the Garanti bank they will arange earthquake, buildings and contents and car insurance.
It costs around £100 a year if you have low contents value around 5K

Hi I recommend them as well, I have been working with them for the last twenty years, but for some reason BASAK SIGORTA quoted our rate much lower.

Post Insurance Turkish price

Hi i initially in 2004 paid 400 lira for my building and contents insurance, as it was through my estate agent, when I came to renew it I went to them direct and it was only 150 lira for the same cover renewed for another year.
The Company is Anadolu Sigorta which is in the town centre and they even gave me a free translation in English and also exchanged the lira to pounds so i could see exactly what I was getting, Contents by the way is £6000.

So im happy and the earthquake insurance is a fixed price through my bank.

All in all a good deal.

Hi Maca

My wife is back from Turkey on Friday. I will throw my 2 cents worth in then.

As she used to work for a large insurance company in Turkey and also has a degree in Insurance, I sure a contribution from her will be worthwhile.

You are also welcome to email me info@rentaturkishvilla.com and I'll supply the info.

Hope this helps

Ricky

I have just insured my property with Sigorta.

It cost 203 YTL. about £86

This included, earthquake insurance
contents - just furniture etc (up to 10,000YTL)
Buildings up to 60,000 ytl (just realised that this is not enought so just about to increase this element)

Which is all reasonable.
