Default title deeds
we have been told that by law when transfering the title deeds in to our name that you have to have a translator present. the builders have quoted 180 euros. any ideas if this fee is correct or are we being ripped off. thanks

Default tapu / title deed
I have bought 2 studio's in a newbuilding complex near Ladies Beach .
I have just been informed by my sollicitor that she had to pay
100 EUR per appartment for the obtention of the tapu (= title deed??)
and additionally that she had to pay 1 x 50 EUR for taxes .
Is this a correct figure , which I could expect from a sollicitor , or am I being
robbed ?

hi recieved this reply from builders. does anyone know if stella has this. thanks

Regarding translator,please note that the person you use must be a government registered translator with current licence and cannot just be a friend who speaks both languages

think if it does not state on your contract that all taxes and fees included you may have to pay these not hundred per cent sure though. Did you buy in Klaros after all we are looking at them too.

Tex, those figures sound fair to me. make sure you get receipts for everything. Know someone who was quoted 600euros to obtain tapu...now that's being ripped off.
