Hi Tizzy (and Carmella)

I have to disagree with you Carmella. If Tizzy is a British citizen, then the 10 pound (or 15 Euro) visa that she got upon arrival is a multiple entry visa.

I have many, many multiple entry stamps on my visas - I've done this loads of times.

Tizzy - just read your visa - I'm sure it will say " Multiple Entry Visa for three Months - Employment Prohibited"

If it does, then you have absolutely no problem.

If you like I will scan one of my passport pages and upload it, so that you can see the multiple in and out stamps on the same visa - just so that you can be comfortable.

By the way, if you re-enter on a multiple entry visa, don't forget that you have to leave the country before it expires.

Many thanks nomadscot, my visa does say " Multiple Entry Visa for three Months - Employment Prohibited" So if my friend wants to pay again, that's up to her, I'll just go to 'passport control' next month. If I do have any problems I'll let you know. Thanks again.

Ah right, I'm sure i've been given a single entry visa before?! so I wasn't sure which was the one you normally got issued with, ill check my passport. I got the above off a Turkish visa site. Thanks for clearing it up.

Hi Mella,

I wonder why you were given a single entry visa! I've never seen nor heard of this before. Strange. I've never specifically asked for a multiple entry visa. My system is just to slap my passport on the desk, open at the page I want the stamp on, with a ten pound note tucked in there.

The guy slaps the stamp on the page and takes my tenner. No words are exchanged at all, except for my 'tessekuhler' at the end.

If any one can throw any light on why Carmella was given a single entry I would be very pleased to hear from them.

Also, I guess I should check the visa in future - just in case.

Thanks for that.

Tizzie - Really I'm absolutely sure that you are allowed multiple entries with that visa. If I'm wrong, then the worst thing that can happen is that the imigration officer will send you back to the visa desk for your stamp and you'll have to queue again.

But he won't. If he tries - then ask to speak to his boss!

Just make sure though, that you're out of the country before 3 months from the date of your FIRST entry on that stamp - or you'll have to pay a fine.

I'm absolutely sure on that too babe. If on the little brownish (?) coloured visa sticker thing (great description - where's Kay when you need her? ) it says Multiple Entry Visa for three Months - Employment Prohibited ..then that means you can go in and out of Turkey as many times as you want as long as you are within the 3 month time period.

For example, if the visa stamp they give you reads Üç ay ikamet süreli müteaddit giris vizesidir, that translates as "Multiple-entry visa for three-month stay."

sorry to dissapoint you, i went last year to samos from kusadasi, what a nitemare. i have many stamps in my passport, they told me to get a residency visa because i have a property out there, mind it was only the second time to samos, every time through uk,so needless to say next year i will get a residency visa as they made me feel like a criminal. never had a problem at the airport going into turkey, but leaving turkey well thats another story. suppose its how many stamps you have.
