Hi, I am Tommy from Sweden. Me and my family are looking for an apartment to buy in Kusadasi area. I saw one apatrment in a house built about 15 years ago. I read there were new building specifications from 2000, is it risky to buy older apatrments than that?

Turkey put some strict rules about building after Golcuk earthquake... so it is important...

Hello TommySweden. Regardless of the age of your property, earthquake insurance is available and I would definately reccommend it!
I wouldn't neccesarily say it was 'risky' to buy an older property because it totally depends on the quality of the specific building you buy into. However if you stick to apartments built post 2000 you are guaranteed the higher build standard. |

To be honest with you they're aren't a great deal of apartments in that area...it's mostly villa complex's. If you really want an apartment you may be better looking in the Ladies Beach area or Kusadasi town itself.
