Default Irish in Kusadasi .. Golden Gate Appartments

Hi all,

Group of irish (mixture of singles and couples) visiting Kusadasi in Aug looking for some info, can anyone help with:

Golden Gate Appartments? What are they like?

Minibus service to and from - is it reliable / does it run all night?

Price of a beer / average meal out?

How do the Turks react to the Irish?

What are the best trips / waterparks?

Many other Irish visitors in Aug?

Many Thanks for everything ...

Hi, welcome to the forums
  • Minibus (dolmus)
service is very regular, but i'm not 100% sure it runs all night.
  • Prices of beer and average meals out are very reasonably priced.

    A beer is just 1 € i think (or 1,5€).
  • The Turkish love the Irish!! Well, they are friendly, warm and very welcoming to all nationalities. So i wouldn't worry about that at all...
  • There are 3 aquaparks in Kusadasi
    1. Aquafantasy (Pamucak area - close to Tusan Beach)
    2. Adaland (so closer to Tusan Beach Hotel)
    3. Aqualand (in Longbeach area - 20km away from Tusan Beach)
    http://www.adaland.com
    http://www.aquafantasy.com
    AquaFantasy: 20€ (for adults)
    Adaland : 20€ (for adults)
  • Yes, there are lots of other Irish visitors in August. You will meet loads of people and i garentee you'll have a great time!

You will find that there are more Irish in Kusadasi than there are Turks!!!

Welcome to the forums!!!

You will love kusadasi, it is a very friendly place, everyone is very willing to make your stay a pleasant one!

The food is very reasonable & very good! there are lots of choice. as Admin / Carmella recomended, ladies beach provides the best deals.

The dolmus to & from the hotels normally stop around Midnight, im not sure about the Golden gate, as i have never stayed there.

Green face Hi

Hi Fellow Irish Guys Sue Here From Dublin . Have Been To Kusdasi The Last 12 Years And I Wont Go Anywhere Else In The World. The Dolmus(mini Bus Is More Reliable Than Any Dublin Bus And It Does Stop At 12 But Taxis Are Everywhere And The Goldengate Apts Can Norganize Taxis For You. The Cheapest Place To Go For A Meal And Also The Best As Most Of The Turkish Eat In The Old Part Of Town (old Kusadasi) The Drink Is Called Ephes And Is Like A Pilsin Lager Back Home Its Fairly Expensive In Bar St(still Cheaper Than Back Home But Again All The Small Out Of The Way Bars Are Much Cheaper. I Adore Kusadasi And The Turkish People And I Have To Say If You Go Once You Wont Stay Anywhere Else. There Is A Pub Which I Have To Say Wudnt Be One Of My Favourites But Its Called Paddys Bar And It Has Newspaper Cuttings (a Little Piece Of Ireland In Kusadasi) There Are More Irish In Kusy Than Any Other Nationality In My Opinion Anyway
Enjoy Your Hols And Take Care

Sue

Cheers Claire i can always rely on you, the girl with all the info. That looks quite nice and its near the beach which will be a bonus for them also.

Whats the deal with there being no towels thats a bit odd? But its cheap as chips so its still a hell of a bargain. I'll be sure and let them know all about it.

thanks honey your a star *

Hi Kute Kira,

I havnt stayed at the Golden gate, but according to their brochure they do have a daily charge for Air conditioning.

the hotel i stayed in last year, had a charge for AC, It wasnt expensive, think we paid about £20 for the week. but to be honest, it didnt make that much difference in the room, the units that most of the hotels have are activated when you enter the room (you have to put your key into a socket on the wall, which activates the electricity) so once you left the room, the AC turned off.

Btw ... Welcome to the Forum!!!
