Hope you guys don't mind answering a few questions,

Large group of friends & parents all coming to Kusadasi next year
Looking at flights, I can find nothing less than £130 - any recommendations would be greatly appreciated
We will be flying from London and would be willing (if this isn't a completely daft idea) to hire a car and drive to Kusadasi from either Izmir or Bodrum

Any recommendations, warnings or general advice greatly appreciated - none of us have been to Turkey before so anything you think is worth knowing is appreciated.

Will no doubt have many more questions as I think of them

Check out BA they are the cheapest I have booked April July and September for £86 return.
Plenty of taxi and mini bus hire from Kusadasi. We all have a favourite firm.
Have a good read on this forum. Most questions have been asked and answered. All I will say You will have the best time here

Hello UKYANKEE, Welcome to the forum, you are in for a treat if you have not been too Turkey before.
www.ba.co.uk are the cheapest from Gatwick- Izmir.
You can Hire a car no problem, but fuel is expensive and the local bus ( MINI BUS dolmus) is excellent frequent and cheap, you can go most places on them.
If you want a reliable transfer too and from the airport i can recommend someone.
Where are you going to stay in Kusadasi,i have a detached villa that sleeps 10 if your interested.

The others are right .. BA are the cheapest (as long as you book in advance) & by far the most reliable.

The only other options would be charter flights (Holiday companies) usually into Bodrum & the prices are not always that low ..ive never paid less than £130

What Uk airport would you prefer to depart from. Im in Essex and Stansted is our closest airport but find the flight times departure and return a pain so am going from Gatwick for the sake of an hours drive you take off and land at respectable hours.

There are a few other companies who fly direct to Izmir from Stansted try www.travelsupermarket.com or www.expedia.co.uk. As usual the times of year affects the price of ticket.
