This clip is especially poignant for me as it is from my hometown station.
It´s all a bit surreal and very very sad. It will never be the same and I think I will always, as will others using this single platformed derelict station, think of Anneli Alderton.
This being the last time she ever saw her hometown.

Aw, I didn't realise she was 3 months pregnant at the time I hate that train journey as it is, and now it's made it even worse...watching that made me shudder. RIP Anneli.

Yes Carmella, she was pregnant and she has a boyfriend.

The Harwich - Manningtree run isn´t particularly nice. Especially on the approach - as you are about to reach Parkeston .....that´s when you wish you had packed my anti-depressants.

Most times I have been on that train I have had the entire carriage for myself. I have wondered what would happen if some thugs got on. No ticket inspection whatsoever.

And the station at Harwich Town is completely deserted - not a soul! Not a place for young women to hang around - let alone anyone else for that matter. I always run to the end of the platform and try get out of there.

I don´t like hanging around on Manningtree at night either - stinks of piss and you are in the middle of nowhere!
