Help Husband in Turkey, need info...

Hi, new to this, so bear with me please....

My husband has gone to Kusadasi this wk, got there early hours today. He has arranged to meet with TurkeyExpert, have been researching them on this forum and quite worried now.....

We were thinking, on their recommendation, of buying in the Peach Grove II complex. They are 5 bed detached villas, 10 on this particular part with shared pool. Quite concerned about horror stories about Co-ops, spiralling maintenance costs etc etc. I wondered if anyone had any knowledge of the Peach Grove villas, phase I or II and whether they make good rental returns. We are ultimately looking to buy for investment purposes, but a holiday home would be an added bonus....

Can anyone shed any light on TurkeyExpert or Peach Grove. Other thing is does anyone have a good reccommendation of a solicitor, having read about all this power of attorney thing we'd like to use one.....

beware: emper emlak, charlie is the english speaking turkish guy there, please be careful when buying from him and check everything thoroughly, and dont take his word for anything, check your information, i was ripped off to the tune of £70,000

I can only say as i find ,our site has 41 villas all sold by turkey expert,i also know many people who have bought in Ozdere,Melissa site and peach grove.
Buying houses will always result in teetheing problems but as far as being ripped off i would say turkey expert and KPS are about as trustworthy as you can get.I probably know at least 60 people in total who have bought through christne and i think most would give her credit.
You may get individual house build problems but i have never heard of any sort of finacial rip-off regarding expert.
As for maintaince we pay £30 a month currently which covers our ,pool cleaning,gardening,security etc

Hi just to put your mind at rest or not, all houses are available to all good estate agents but all ask for diferent price for same property if you find one you like with one agent you can always ask other agents if they are selling on that site (dont tel them what your have been quoted) i have only heard of one agent that has not caused problems for prospective purchasers and thats Sherlock Holmes, they are by Murphys restaurant, I have no concection with them and did noy purchase off them, but John, Dilek and Target talk very good english and were more than happy to sit and chat and give advice without trying to sell us properties.

It would be worth you husband just talking to them about area along with other agents their Tel Number is (05354095680 John) john is from Canada and has helped us even when we did not purchase off him.

and what ever the agent says get a solicitor english speaking, new cooperatives can have problems you need to look into their financial stability or you could end up with big bills or no pool, security etc, all the good ones will have 24hour security and translate meetings etc for you.

although there is a lot of negative feedback on this site about Turkey expert, if you check out www. turkeyvilla. com you will find they are approved by that site, and there are many satisfied buyers. For our part , we used Alison and Halis at KPS, and found them honest and trustworthy, and I would have no qualms recommending them to my nearest and dearest. They kept us informed throughout, and while it was a worrying time for us(lets face it none of us can stand a big money loss)Alison replied patiently and quickly(sometimes almost immediately) to my frantic e mails, so that the sale went without any hitches.

We viewed Peach Grove 1 and looked at the plans at Peach Grove 2 last July. Ended up buying on Tangerine Resort through Turkey Expert. All has gone very smoothly so far. Good luck with your house hunting.

Thanks for all your help, I've been relaying it all to my husband. He is definately hiring a solicitor and he seems happy with what he's seen and heard so far. I think we probably will buy in Peach Grove, we have 5 kids so it'll certainly be big enough for us all to get a good hoilday.... Bigger than our home in England in fact!!! How mad is that?? As neither of us have been to Turkey before it's all been a bit of a mindfield... But with your help, this site and the wonders of the internet we've been able to do a lot of work and research before we got to this stage.... I'm really looking forward now to coming and seeing Turkey for myself and the kids are extremely excited...Thanks again...

There is lots of info on this site. Wish I had known about it when I was buying. I'm sure you will love Turkey. It is a magnificent country with beautiful scenery and beaches to suit everyone from the serious sun worshipper to the most active water sports enthusiast, and it is a childrens paradise. You can pamper yourself from head to toe for a fraction of UK costs. As for shopping, you will think you have died and gone to heaven. What's more, you would be hard pressed to find friendlier, more hospitable people than the Turks. In so many ways Turkey has everything going for it. Enjoy every minute of your time there.

we bought of kaleturkishproperties.co.uk and they have an english lady in Kus called Ann. She was brilliant. If anybody needs any advise i am sure she would help out. check out the site for her details

İ dont know if people are aware but 90% of the foreigners (non-turks) working in estate agencies in Kusadasi are working illegally. İf found out by the authorities the agency plus the foreigner will be in a lot of trouble ie. big fines for the agent, in some cased deportation for the worker.

Just be careful.

Peach Grove 2

Hi there

Just read your thread re Peach Grove Resort. We are extremely happy about our villa. It made our dreams come true... The builder is excellent and he is well recommended. You will not be disapointed with the workmanship. Our complex has now been finished and we are very pleased with it. Peach Grove 2 looks nice also. We bought our property last feb and is now worth over £20,000 more. The beach is lovely for kids - very safe and plenty to do in the season. Water parks are fab too. There are lots to do around the area and it is great for shopping. Really cheep to eat out. The turks are lovely people and will help whenever they can. I would go for it. Estate Agents

I purchased my property with Ideal Emlak. A small family business near Friday Market. Sehavet runs the business with her two sons. I am very happy with how everything went.

Prior to meeting with Ideal Emlak. The first place I encountered when I got off the coach with Turkey Estate.

I had previously liased with Christine whilst in England, but when I visited the place it just happened to be the nearest to the coach station.

I was very pleased with the service she offered and there appeared to be a number of satisfied propects around me.

As we just landed in Kusadasi (me and my wife), we decided to get some lunch. We went out with Omur and Christine's daughter Canan for a bite. I have to say that I was very happy with the way they acted as a company and wouldn't hesitate in recommending them.

Kaan who also works there was very helpful and we stayed at the Hotel Kaan, which was more than adequate (again a great family and I even named their dog Lucky)

The only reason I didn't purchase with Christine is because when I went to make an offer on a property, she told me there is no negotiation.

Well, I have never ever paid the asking price for any large purchases in my life and I wasn't going to change that. However, everything about the set up was A1, and if I was to be honest- more professional than the company that I purchased with.

Anyway, I went to ideal, put in my offer and went back up to Istanbul. Within 3 weeks the offer was accepted. Ideal Emlak went out of their way to make it happen.

For this reason I also recommend them.

Hi Alison, I would like to make it clear that my company is set up legally in Britain and that Ann is working legally in Turkey. She has lived there 10 years now and has dual nationality and work permit. I agree that a lot of brits over there are working on the sly but my staff are not among them!
