    Hello Everyone

I am new to this forum site, I have read many of the threads, it's great!

I am seeking help from all of you, my hubby and I are researching property in Kusadasi, I have narrowed our choices down to Melissa III and possibly the last villa on Peach Grove I (might be gone now though).

Do any of you own a Melissa or Peach Grove Villa? Anyone know of the builders? Areas?

Any inside information would be fabulous!

    Thanks

    Sarah

    Villas

    Hi Sazzer
I like the Melissa Villas a lot and if i had not bought on Rimakent would have bought on that site.
I personally did not like the shape of Peach Grove 1 and also the site is right on top of the Mosque.
I would consider contacting Nellie off here and adding Rimakent to your list as he is selling one .
Whatever i am sure you will be happy with your choice.

    Hi

We bought a villa on Peach grove 1 nearly two years ago, funny when we seen them first didn't like the shape, but the builder was brillant, and the finish on the house was excellent, they are lovely inside, make sure you take a look. anyhow we hav'nt look back, love the house, love the area, right by silver beach, and the mosque well thats the culture and adds to it, sometimes we dont even hear it.We love Turkey, you wont go wrong wherever you purchase. good luck by the way, we dealt with Turkeyexpert (excellent) regards Annette

Hi Sazzer,we have to pass Peach Grove to get to the beach from our sitesi and i have to say they look fab once finished, the area is great, just a short stroll to silver beach and plenty of little shops and reataurants and also quite importantly dolmus stops, which we dont have close by.Last summer we saw peach grove 2 under construction and we were very tempted ourselves, just have to win the lotto LOL. The other bonus is they are detached so you dont have to put up with other peoples noise, especially if you and your neighbours have kids.Hope that helps, but do plenty of looking round first. Cheers,Cath.

    Hello from peach grove 1

Hello our names are Rob, Jill, Robbie and last but not least Aliyah, our lovely two kids, well most of the time. We have a villa on Peach Grove 1 I believe it might be the villa next door to us you may be looking at. We bought last year and have never regretted it. We looked at a few properties including the Mellisa complex, which was very nice but Peach Grove in my eyes was better. It is nice that the villas are detatched and depending on the way you look at it we liked the quirky shape. The actual villas look better in person than they do in the pictures, and are less than a 5 min walk to the beach, and the fact that the dolmus stops right outside the complex sold it to us. To be honest, wherever you decide to buy in Turkey you will be happy, great country, lovely people and the right price what more can you ask for !

PM me if you have anymore questions

Hi Sazzer, I have bought a villa on peach grove 2 which will be ready in May. I have dealt with Turkey Expert and have found Deniz very helpful and informative. The villas are in a great location and are lovely and big inside. I also viewed the Melissa villas, but found them smaller and because they are semi-detached we went for Peach Grove 2. I know you will find something to suit you because there are so many different types of property to choose from.

    Good luck and happy hunting!!

Thanks everyone, they are really valuable answers to me. I am fairly confident that we will go for a Melissa Villa, they are a good size and price.
Just the plot to choose now, on Melissa III, IV, or V. decisions decisions.

I forgot to say we have been dealing with Turkey Expert. I haven't sorted out a solicitor yet. Those British people that have bought properties, did you use a British solicitor or a local solicitor?

    Thanks

    Hi Sarah :)

Quite a few members of the forum have used Fahri Oner, a local solicitor, who comes highly recommended and speaks very good English.

    Hi Sazzer,

We brought on Melissa 3 about 16 months ago and also used Turkeyexpert, we did not use a solicitor and everything worked out fine for us, but you may want to use a solicitor for peace of mind. I personally don't think it's necessary but I had a good experience others who didn't will probably disagree with me.

We had a similar short list of villa's to buy but decided on Melissa as my wife fell in love with the patio area and the kids liked the size of the pool. (My input was to pay for it) I must say though we have had 3 holidays there now and enjoyed all of them and can't wait for the next one.

The villa's that are left on Melissa 3 are a good price at the moment (quite a bit less than what I paid for ours) but I don't think any of them have a pool view. If you can live with that then you might also be able to use it as a bargaining point.

If you want to know anything more about Melissa just ask. You could also pm me if you ask Umit to set us up.

Hi All, that's great thanks for the advice about solicitors etc, its really good to speak to actual people about it.

I read a posting on here yesterday, can't find it today. Basically pointing out facts that there are a lot of empty villas, and house prices aren't going to rise much higher in the near future, also I think he said things about Turkey not being part of the EU for about 20 years (I'm not quoting, just trying to remember what it said), plus rental is not good. I agreed with his comments, but do feel as he said, this is a LONG term investment. I still have reservations but I am an investor in property and I think no matter what country, if the location is right and it is a reasonable price, and you go in with your eyes wide open then you can't go wrong.

OK I have another question for all you UK buyers. Did anyone get a mortgage to purchase their property? this is what I am doing.

    Thanks
    Sazzer

we made enquiries about getting a mortgage here in uk to buy a villa, but seemed to be difficult. ended up just buying outright, good luck, steve.

We looked at Mellisa and Peach Grove 2 and to be honest there was no comparison. The location and quality of Peach Grove is great and they are 5 bedrooms and detatched .Also just 5 minutes to the beach .We used Turkey Expert (for the 2nd time) and found them to be great.Good luck with your purchase Sazzer .
